Upcoming Changes to Payroll System for Student Employees
Release Date: June 02, 2025
CSU Pueblo is standardizing its payroll schedule by transitioning from a monthly to a biweekly payment cycle for student employees effective May 31, 2025. As part of the WorkSTATE project to implement Workday across the CSU System, this change is intended to improve operational efficiency, enhance employee satisfaction, and support financial stability.
What’s Changing
Student employees will be paid every other Friday for hours worked during the previous two weeks. The new schedule includes 26 pay periods per year instead of 12. This change ensures more frequent and consistent payments, with no impact on total annual compensation.
Next steps for Student Employees:
- Continue to submit time daily through your PAWs account.
- Supervisors will verify that employees have submitted their time and approve it by the end of each business day.
- Please note: If time is not submitted each day for supervisor approval, there is a risk the employee may not be paid for that day.
- Students will begin the biweekly process on June 1, 2025, and the first biweekly pay date will be June 27, 2025.
