CSU Pueblo Alumni Association and Foundation recognize four 2022 Distinguished Young Alumni

Each year during Homecoming Weekend, the Colorado State University Pueblo Foundation and Alumni Association celebrate our distinguished alumni. The Distinguished Young Alumni Awards committee carefully selects one stand-out young alumni from each of the following schools: the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS), the College of Health, Education, and Nursing (CHEN), the Hasan School of Business (HSB), and the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
We are incredibly proud of what our alumni Pack around the world contribute to their professions and communities. CSU Pueblo alumni are the leaders in your children’s school, the mentors in your workplace, and the compassionate caregivers in your hospital.
It is an honor to acknowledge and recognize the drive, professional commitment, and significant philanthropic investment amongst the Distinguished Young Alumni Award recipients. These award-winning alumni have given back to their respective communities as well as to CSU Pueblo, which makes them the benefactors of the success of future alumni. They represent Pack values of interdisciplinary achievement, resilient problem-solving, and inclusively elevating their people and communities.
2022 recipients include:
- Sarah Meigs, 2017 Business and 2021 MBA graduate from the Hasan School of Business (HSB). Sarah now serves as the Operations Manager at CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Pueblo.
- Alisa Proffer, 2017 Nursing graduate from the College of Health, Education, and Nursing (CHEN). Alissa now serves as an RN, BSN TNCC at Parkview Health Systems.
- Bianca Hicks, 2008 Mass Communications graduate from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS). Bianca now serves as the Vice President of Strategic Operations at the United Way of Pueblo County.
- Tyler Bongers, 2012 Mathematics and Physics graduate from the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Tyler now serves as a faculty member of Mathematics at Harvard University.
Recipients will be recognized alongside fellow alum and their communities at the Distinguished Young Alumni Awards Ceremony and Alumni Homecoming Brunch on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at The Patio at CSU Pueblo.
