COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO—Colorado State University Pueblo is hosting a one stop enrollment event at the Colorado Springs location on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. This event called REACT—register, enroll, advising, continuing and transfer—is for new and returning students at the CSU Pueblo Colorado Springs campus.

“The in-person touchpoints are important for students and the general public to be able to walk in and speak with someone regarding any questions they may have or seek guidance on the enrollment or registration process,” said Kent McDowell, satellite campus sites manager at CSU Pueblo.

Students are able to find classes and register, receive guidance on the enrollment process, meet with advisors to devise a plan for the semester and get support as a returning student. Transfer students are able to find resources for a smoother transition to CSU Pueblo. All new admits that attend the event and enroll at CSU Pueblo at the Colorado Springs location will receive a $500 scholarship.

The CSU Pueblo Colorado Springs location has hosted enrollment events since moving to the tower location in 2013, however, the REACT event officially started in 2018 and has occurred annually since inception.

“This event is unique because we don’t offer those resources like financial aid, admissions, registrar, and more at this satellite location on a full time basis as they are on the main campus in Pueblo,” said McDowell.

Students have the opportunity to meet with other members of CSU Pueblo from the main campus including Student Financial Services, the Military and Veterans Success Center and TRiO. Although all of these support systems are available to students who attend CSU Pueblo at the Colorado Springs location, each of these services are located primarily at the main campus in Pueblo.

Division of Extended Studies Transfer Advisor, John Waterman explained how easy the process of applying can be for students.

“We will have transfer academic advising resources for students at this event and they can also talk to admissions staff about the process of applying to CSU Pueblo,” said Waterman. “Being able to complete all steps at one single event will make a process that can seem daunting at times much easier.”

A prospective student will be able to walk in the building, attend REACT and walk out as a new member of the Pack with a spring schedule with courses in hand.

“Students will also be able to see all of the facilities at the CSU Pueblo Tower in Colorado Springs and get an idea of what the classrooms and study spaces we offer look like,” said Waterman. “Of course there is also the opportunity to receive a $500 scholarship as well!”

For more information about the REACT event, contact Kent McDowell, satellite campus sites manager at 719-442-2264. CSU Pueblo at the Colorado Springs location is located at 2864 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
