Colorado State University Pueblo Vice President of Enrollment Management, Communication and Student Affairs Appointed to Executive Leadership Academy

PUEBLO—Colorado State University Pueblo Vice President of Enrollment Management, Communication and Student Affairs, Chrissy Holliday has been appointed as one of the participants in the 2021-2022 Executive Leadership Academy (ELA). ELA is cosponsored by the American Association of the State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), and the American Academic Leadership Institute (AALI).

“I’m excited that Chrissy was accepted into this prestigious leadership development program offered by AASCU,” said CSU Pueblo President, Timothy Mottet. “These programs attract higher education’s high-impact leaders who will learn from each other and return to campus with a new set of perspectives and ideas about how to solve problems, seek opportunities, develop others and build culture. I’m excited for Chrissy to have this opportunity.”

President Mottet nominated Holliday for the opportunity to participate in ELA because of her success in leading the university through a technology upgrade, leading across the university, and impacting institutional change by developing her people. All of this work allows the university to reach its goals.

CSU Pueblo Vice President of Enrollment Management, Communication, and Student Affairs, Chrissy Holliday shared her excitement for the experience.

 “I'm looking forward to this experience with ELA as an opportunity to examine campus leadership perspectives I don't currently work with on a daily basis and expand my ability to contribute to CSU Pueblo,” said Holliday. “I know I can gain valuable insight from colleagues across the country, similar to my Ph.D. cohort experience, where we collaborated to better serve our students and share experiences that benefit our campus communities.”

Holliday recently earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership in December 2020 from CSU Fort Collins and has been in her current role with CSU Pueblo since 2016. Holliday earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Print Media from Campbell University in North Carolina. She then earned a Master’s degree in Enrollment Management from Capella University in Minnesota.

The ELA Opening Seminar will be held virtually in June and the program includes a year-long training for vice presidents and cabinet-level officers who may pursue a future role as a college or university president. This program includes mentorship by the participant’s president, webinars, regional gatherings, and a professional experience plan.
