2019 conference lecture

Due to evolving public health concerns related to the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Institute of Cannabis Research Conference 2020 will be postponed to protect the health and safety of conference attendees and the Colorado State University Pueblo campus community.

“We recognize the hard work that our speakers and presenters have put into preparing for this conference, and we hope that all the speakers and presenters will be able to attend the rescheduled conference” says Chad Kinney, Director of the Institute of Cannabis Research. “We did not make this decision lightly,” said Kinney.

The Conference Planning Committee has identified August 11-13,2020, as the rescheduled dates for the ICR Conference 2020. Dr. Roger Pertwee has confirmed his availability to deliver the Mechoulam Lecture at the rescheduled conference. The Planning Committee will work with the current slate of presenters to have them be part of the rescheduled conference.

As details for the rescheduled conference become available they will be communicated on the Institute of Cannabis Research website. Current registrations fees will be applied to the revised dates or participants may request a refund. The ICR will allow registered attendees to designate a replacement attendee for the new conference date, should the original designee be unable to attend on the rescheduled date.

For additional information regarding registrations and revised conference dates, visit www.csupueblo.edu/institute-of-cannabis-research/2020-conference or email ICR@csupueblo.edu.

About the Institute

Research agreements with Pueblo County and the State of Colorado in 2016 brought resources to help establish the ICR, the nation’s first cannabis research center at a regional, comprehensive institution. The State of Colorado has continued to provide the primary source of support for the operation of the ICR in subsequent years. Research topics range from neuroscience research on cannabinoid receptors to studies on industrial hemp. In addition to supporting need research, the ICR also hosts an international academic conference and support the publication of the Journal of Cannabis Researchin partnership with Springer Nature.
