Colorado State University-Pueblo will host Mountainfilm on Tour on November 7 in the Occhiato Ballroom on campus.  This film presents a selection of nonfiction documentary films that are adventure packed and inspiring.

Mountainfilm on Tour will be making a visit to CSU-Pueblo to show films that embody their mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences and create a better world.  These films come from the Mountainfilm festival which is held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado.

“We’re proud to be bringing Mountainfilm on Tour to CSU-Pueblo on November 7 for the fourth time. It’s always a wonderfully inspiring program with films that touch on a wide range of important social issues as well as films that are absolutely visually stunning and just plain fun,” said Leticia Steffen, Professor and Associate Dean of College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

This event will take place in the Occhiato Ballroom in the Occhiato Student Center on campus with two showings with a matinee at 1 p.m. and another showing beginning at 7 p.m.  The Mountainfilm on Tour is also free and open to the public.

This year’s campus sponsors are the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Outdoor Pursuits, the Department of English/World Languages, the Department of Social Work, the Department of Sociology, Criminology and Anthropology, the Department of History, Political Science, Philosophy and Geography, the Mass Communication department and the Women’s Studies Programs.

“Thanks to the generosity of these sponsors, we are happy to open our two shows – our 1 p.m. matinee and our 7 p.m. evening show – to the campus community and the general public for no admission charge,” said Steffen.
