CSU-Pueblo Tower Location in Colorado Springs Hosts Open House, Safe Street event
PUEBLO - Colorado State University–Pueblo’s Tower location in Colorado Springs, through the Division of Extended Studies, will host its semi-annual community – wide Open House from 11a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, October 27 at the Tower, 2864 S. Circle Drive. The event is open to the public at no charge.
This event brings together a variety of student services and academic departments from the University to provide current and new students with access to many of the University’s services, including: admissions, financial aid, degree offerings in the Colorado Springs area, external degree programs, construction management, high school programming, teacher continuing-education programs, and much more.
Students and guests are encouraged to bring their children in costume, for a safe Trick-or-Treat event, where they will receive a CSU – Pueblo Halloween Treat Bag, participate in a Best-Costume Contest, take photos with live mascot Tundra, enjoy music from student-managed radio station REV 89, as well as enjoy food, beverages, games and giveaways every hour.
CSU-Pueblo has held classes in Colorado Springs since 1969. The University has a full-time office presence at the Fort Carson Education Center operating under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of the Army. Evening classes are offered in Social Work; Sociology; and Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology at the Fort Carson location. We also visit Peterson Air Force Base on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month with office hours from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at their Work Force Development Center.
At CSU-Pueblo’s Tower Location, you will find small class sizes taught by industry experts for the best value in town. We understand that working adults have hectic schedules and many personal and professional commitments. Because of this, our class schedules are aligned to accommodate our student’s needs. Classes are available in accelerated 8 and 15 week formats, and are typically held one or two times per week in the evenings.
Courses are offered in pursuit of degrees in Sociology, Sociology/Criminology emphasis, Social Work and Business Administration-Management, as well as a variety of lower division general education courses.
