Colorado State University-Pueblo Alumni Association announces board, officers

PUEBLO –The Colorado State University-Pueblo Alumni Association has announced its members and officers for the 2017-18 academic year, which began July 1.  The Alumni Association enhances the relationship among alumni, the university, and the community.

Carol Rickman, a 1983 biology graduate, will serve as board president.  Rickman is retired as a medical technologist at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center. She also is known as the “mother” of Tundra, the University’s live mascot. Joining Rickman on the executive committee are: Brett Holland, A10, agent, State Farm Insurance, vice-president; Sommer Street, A99, assistant director of External Affairs at CSU-Pueblo, treasurer; and Mark Gregory, A89, agent, State Farm Insurance, at-large.

The Alumni Board is comprised of volunteers with diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise.  Other board members returning this year are: Judy Hildner, A70, retired Pueblo Chieftain sports editor; Richard Joyce, A81, retired mass communications professor; John Kristan, A90; Guy Mayber, A90, senior diabetes care specialist, Novo Nordisk; Christine Pittman, A08, director of events and recreation, Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo; Matt Porter, A15, field claims representative, Farmers Insurance; Sandy Romero, A85, communications manager, Bechtel; Taylor Voss, A16, community engagement director, Pueblo Triple Aim Corporation; and Tim Zercher, A16, president/CEO/founder, EasySocial.

New additions to this year’s alumni board are current CSU-Pueblo students, Jason S. Falsetto, representing the President’s Leadership Program; Jake Harmon, ASG president; and Daniella Trujillo, ASG vice president.  Joining the board this year is alumna, Lydia Martinez, A09, claim team manager, State Farm Insurance.
