PUEBLO - Colorado State University-Pueblo will celebrate National French Week through music, cuisine, and activities open to all campus and community members. No need to have been to France or speak French! The events are sponsored by the Department of English and Foreign Languages.

Friday, November 4-Thursday, November 10

Cuisine from french speaking countries

Food selected by students in French courses from a variety of French-speaking countries will be served in the cafeteria all week.

Tuesday, November 8

Coloring Contest

1-2 p.m., Library and Academic Resources Center (LARC) 108

Take a study break and color great works of French art for a chance to win a grand prize. This event is co-sponsored by the LARC.

Student Musician and Artistic Performances

5-6 p.m., Art/Music 154

Students from French courses will perform musical and dance pieces written by French composers.

Wednesday, November 9

Games and activities

2-3 p.m., Psychology 147 (Language Center)

Why not unwind with a game in French? Students from French courses will lead various games and activities in French with a prize offered to one winner!

Film Night

6-8 p.m., Psychology 147 (Language Center)

Join the students from all French courses who selected the French film with English subtitles, Les intouchables (The Untouchables). Directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, the film focuses on an aristocrat who becomes a quadriplegic in a paragliding accident and hires a young man from the projects to be his caregiver.

Thursday, November 10

Scavenger Hunt

9 a.m.-5 p.m., Beginning and ending in Psychology 147 (Language Center)

Learn about French and francophone cultures by competing in a scavenger hunt organized by

students from French courses. A prize will be awarded to the first person who completes it!

Art Event

3-4 p.m., LARC 108

Draw and create works of art, inspired by French artists. Students from French courses will lead guests in creating various forms of art. This event is co-sponsored by the LARC.
