Press Release

PUEBLO - The Colorado State University-Pueblo departments of Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Art, and Mass Communications are seeking funding for a collaborative film project that will take place during the Spring 2017 Semester.

According to Andrew Corsa, project coordinator and visiting philosophy professor, the film will be directed by Joshua Munson with the help of Mass Communications Faculty Member Jiaxi Shen who both will be involved with cinematography. Munson has directed, shot, and edited short films, documentaries, and music videos, and co-developed the central idea for this film-project with Corsa. The film project is made possible in part through a partnership with ARRI Rental.

From March 3-17, 2017, Munson and students will be involved with technical work (lighting, sound, etc.), composing the film's score, and acting in the film. Students will be involved in many aspects of making and promoting short films --- lighting, sound, camera work, musical scoring, film-acting, and publicity/advertising. The filmmaker also intends to visit several classes during his time on campus.

Prior to Munson's arrival, students will be involved in developing a screenplay. After Munson departs on March 17, he will remain in touch with students, who will be involved with the film-editing process, developing a website to make the film available to the public, and marketing the film. A GoFundMe page has been developed that outlines the project in more detail and seeks to raise funds.
