Workshops for entrepreneurs to be offered by Enactus Club

PUEBLO - Female entrepreneurs can learn how to improve their skills and their businesses through three workshops sponsored by Sam's Club and Colorado State University-Pueblo's Enactus student organization.

The Strong Women, Stronger Businesses workshops are designed to help women entrepreneurs achieve their goals. Social Media Management, led by CSU-Pueblo marketing Professor Dr. Justin Goss, will teach participants how to create an online presence to generate revenue in this technology society. Growing Your Small Business, led by a Pueblo community leader, will provide helpful information on handling the business world through the experiences of entrepreneurs. Borrower Education, Navigating the Lending Market will be presented by financial experts from Wells Fargo, offering information about business loans and capital and other financial information necessary to start a small business.

The workshops will be held at 9 a.m. on Mondays over the next month in the new General Classroom Building (GCB) on the CSU-Pueblo campus. Social Media Management, will be held at 9 a.m., February 29 in GCB 315 followed by Growing Your Small Business at 9 a.m., March 7 in GCB 201. The final workshop, Borrower Education, Navigating the Lending Market, will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 14 in GCB 201.

Enactus has been changing lives of students and empowering communities across the United States since 1975. Working with prestigious business leaders and institutes of higher education, Enactus helps to find entrepreneurs who have talent, help them to find value in their commitment, while connecting them to individuals with similar objectives. More than 66,500 students on 1,600 Enactus teams in 36 countries are working to impact students by giving them a new perspective of leadership. The CSU-Pueblo Enactus team has 41 members.

The workshops are valued at $180 but are free to women students and female community entrepreneurs thanks to the sponsorship of Sam's Club.
