CSU-Pueblo seniors seek technology projects for spring class
Release Date: November 03, 2015
Press Release
The CIS 432 Senior Professional Project class for Spring 2016 seeks 9-10 projects to be completed in the course of the Spring 2016 semester. Students will work in small teams to identify the specific operational issues the organization has, and to define the solution requirements their client has for addressing the issues identified. Once this is accomplished, the team then designs a workable solution, creates it, and implements it to the client’s satisfaction.
In order for the students to have a complete learning experience, the project should be fairly substantial, requiring a full semester to complete. Organizations with the need for a technology-based solution should contact Rick Huff with a brief description of the project and why it is needed.
The class is particularly interested in identifying significant projects related to IS/IT and/or organizational security and/or protection of client data and confidential information. Faculty in the Computer Information Systems department of the Hasan School of Business will screen the projects and make decisions about their inclusion in the class by the end of the semester.
Examples of recent projects include:
-
An update of the statewide Learning Management System for the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology (2015)
