Press Release

PUEBLO – Colorado State University-Pueblo’s Classified Staff Council will host its fifth annual holiday arts, crafts, and gift fair to raise dollars for its Classified Employee Student Scholarship Fund as well as other humanitarian projects through the year.  The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 in the Occhiato University Center Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.

Vendors will feature a variety of items ranging from handmade jams and quilted/crocheted items to jewelry, holiday craft items, vases, aprons, and re-purposed items. A complete description of goods may be found below.

Proceeds from the fair support the Classified Staff Council’s Student Scholarship Fund, which provides four, $1,000 scholarships annually to students who meet affiliation and minimum grade point average requirements. The Classified Staff Council provides other benefits to State Personnel System employees at CSU-Pueblo to better serve the University and the State of Colorado. More information on the Council may be found at http://www.csupueblo.edu/Classified/

Additionally, the free event will offer lunch items at a nominal fee as well as drawings at the end of the fair for items donated by the vendors with proceeds going to their humanitarian efforts.  Tickets for those drawings will be .25 each or five for $1.

“Over the years, we’ve been able to make a huge impact on the lives of students and families in Pueblo through our fundraising events,” said Classified Staff Council President Vicki Becker.
