DeRoses, Quinn, Roman to be honored at CSU-Pueblo Gala

PUEBLO – The deadline is quickly approaching for ticket sales to the 2015 President’s Gala at Colorado State University-Pueblo. Tickets are available through this Friday (May 8) for the fundraising event on Friday, May 15, which will close with a performance by Pueblo’s own, Martini Shot.

Four “legendary” Puebloans  -- Neta, A55, and Eddie DeRose, A54, Jack Quinn, and Henry Roman, A69 -- will be honored as part of the 2015 President’s Gala on Friday, May 15 in the Occhiato University Center (OUC) Ballroom. In addition, CSU-Pueblo Alumna Doris Kester, A69, will be recognized for Distinguished Alumni Achievement. Proceeds from the Gala directly benefit future generations of CSU-Pueblo students through scholarships and programs. 

The 2015 President’s Gala, “A Legendary Evening,” will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails and music by CSU-Pueblo music students and faculty in the Hearthwell Lounge. Tickets for the 2015 President’s Gala are $125 per person or $1,500 for a corporate table of 8. Through the generosity of 2001 alumnus Chris Turner, a reunion of former Associated Students Government presidents and vice presidents will begin at 5 p.m. on the evening of the gala in the OUC Aspen Leaf. Construction on Bonforte Bridge, which was supposed to have closed the bridge throughout the summer, has been delayed. As of today, the bridge remains open for access to campus, but check the gala website for the latest information on access to the CSU-Pueblo campus.​
