PUEBLO - A new art exhibit at Colorado State University-Pueblo will celebrate seven decades of successful art alumni from across the country beginning in February. This is the first bi-annual art alumni event hosted by the CSU-Pueblo Department of Art.

A History of Making: Seven Decades of Art Alumni, which honors art alumni from the past seven decades who earned degrees from 1950-2013, will run from Feb. 2-27 in the Fine Art Gallery. A reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 in the gallery. Refreshments will be provided. The reception and show are free and open to all members of the community.

A silent auction of some of the pieces also is scheduled with proceeds or donations from this show funding scholarships for future art students.

Located in Hoag Hall in the Capps Capozzolo Academic Center for the Arts, the gallery is open from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. For more info, please contact Caroline Peters via phone at 719-549-2404 or via email
