Foundation announces text to give campaign
Release Date: September 03, 2014
Press Release
PUEBLO – The CSU-Pueblo Foundation has created an easy way for donors to contribute to the three-year, $25 million On the Move capital campaign that began last August to raise dollars for student scholarships, upgraded facilities, and expanded opportunities and support for students.
The Foundation will kick off its 1st and 10 for Education text-to-give campaign this Friday, Sept. 5, during which supporters are encouraged to donate $10 to help support CSU-Pueblo students by sending a simple text message. On the first Friday of each month through the end of the academic year, individuals are asked to text PACK to 80888, which will automatically bill $10 to the individual’s next cell phone bill, regardless of carrier.
“We want to make giving to the University as easy as possible,” said CSU-Pueblo Foundation President/CEO Todd Kelly. “We also want to emphasize how much a $10 donation can do, especially when combined with similar gifts from others.”
Throughout the day, the Foundation will post messages on social media providing updates on the success of the 1st and 10 effort and showing how gifts are impacting the University. All proceeds from the 1st and 10 text drive will benefit the On The Move Campaign, csuponthemove.org
Feel free to post your own messages encouraging others to join the 1st and 10 effort by using hashtags #firstand10, #onthemove, #csupuebloalumni
