About Us

NAMI on Campus at CSU Pueblo is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting mental health and promoting awareness across our campus. We are part of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), a leading mental health organization, and we share their mission of improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Our focus is on providing CSU Pueblo students with the tools, resources, and support they need to maintain their mental well-being and feel connected within our campus community.

At NAMI on Campus, we strive to foster a culture of openness, compassion, and understanding when it comes to mental health. Through a combination of peer support, educational events, and advocacy efforts, we seek to empower students to take control of their mental health and to help one another. Some of the activities and initiatives we offer include:

  • Peer Support Groups: Safe and confidential spaces where CSU Pueblo students can share their experiences, find understanding, and offer support to one another.
  • Educational Workshops and Events: Engaging sessions that provide information on mental health topics, coping strategies, and resources available to students.
  • Awareness Campaigns: Campus-wide efforts to break the stigma surrounding mental illness and encourage a culture of acceptance and mental wellness.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Working to ensure that CSU Pueblo students' voices are heard when it comes to mental health policies, services, and programs on campus.

Mission

We are deeply committed to enhancing the overall quality of life for students by fostering a supportive environment that promotes mental health awareness. Through peer-to-peer support, educational initiatives, and active advocacy, we aim to create a community where students feel empowered to prioritize their mental well-being and seek the help they need.

Vision

NAMI On Campus aspires to shine a brighter light on the importance of mental health and wellness in students’ lives. By raising awareness and encouraging open dialogue, we seek to break the stigma surrounding mental health, creating a campus culture that fully embraces and supports students on their journey toward emotional and psychological wellness.

Whether you’re looking for support, want to get involved in advocacy, or are passionate about raising awareness, we invite you to join NAMI on Campus at CSU Pueblo. Together, we can make a difference in our campus community by promoting mental health and supporting one another.
