Laboratories
The Department of Mathematics and Physics provides modern classroom and laboratory facilities for the physics program.
Both labs are fully equipped with computers at each lab station, computer-assisted data acquisition and analysis, experiments on high-temperature superconductivity, x-rays, and more. The Physics Program owns and operates a research-grade observatory five miles from campus. CSU Pueblo's program is particularly rich in hands-on experiences — with twice the typical number of advanced physics labs found in most programs!
In addition to the specific laboratories listed below, our students have access to three networked computer labs to write their lab reports (MS Word), analyze their lab data and prepare graphs (MS Excel, Matlab, MathCAD), and search for information in libraries and on the web to name just a few of the many computer tools available.
