Faculty and Staff

Faculty mentors provide discipline-specific guidance for students.

Major and minor specific information helps students make informed decisions for course choices and sequencing, co-curricular activities, research/project opportunities, internships, etc. Making an early connection and networking within the discipline is shown to improve student success.

Mentors for a student's declared major are assigned during their first semester of enrollment and linked within the Starfish network.

Reach out regularly to your students to connect them directly to your major/minor and department. Students may have more than one faculty mentor for minors, second majors, etc.
