Events and Programs

The Center collaborates with several organizations and departments to sponsor diversity programming throughout the year. These activities are held in conjunction with national holidays and cultural celebrations and are open to the entire student population and the local community. Annual events include HSI Week, MLK Day Celebration, and Multicultural Congratulatory.

Cultural Heritage Months

Throughout the academic year, The Center partners with student organizations and campus departments to recognize and celebrate cultural heritage months. 

• September 15 - October 15: Hispanic Heritage Month
• October: LGBTQ+ History Month 
• November: Native American Heritage Month
• February: Black History Month
• March: Women's History Month
• April: Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month

International and Cultural Events

In addition to heritage month programming, The Center celebrates and supports international and cultural events. Programs and activities include Oktoberfest, Diwali, International Education Week, Lunar New Year, Holi Festival, and International Extravaganza.

Spiritual Life Programming

For some community members, religion and spirituality play a significant role in their identity.  For others, it's something they may be curious about. Spiritual life at CSU Pueblo aims to connect interested students to faith based or spiritual communities either on campus or in Pueblo. First Generation College Student Mentor Program

First generation college students are defined as a student whose parent or guardian has not completed a bachelor's degree. At CSU Pueblo, we value our first generation college students and the strengths they bring by being the first in their family to go to college.

To better serve this population, we connect interested students with a faculty or staff mentor who understands the unique challenges and opportunities of being a first gen college student. We also collaborate with TRIO and Student Support Services to provide resources and support. Annual events include the National First Generation College Celebration on November 8.
