High School Equivalency Program

The High School Equivalency Program (HEP) opens the doors for our agricultural and migrant workers by making degree attainment accessible. Participants receive support in their academic, vocational, and personal development while earning a high school equivalency certificate and the general development (GED). In addition, our students gain the confidence to pursue higher education and explore new career challenges.

Eligibility

  • You or your immediate family members have been involved in migrant or season agricultural work for at least 75 days in the last 24 months.
  • You participated in, or have been eligible to participate in, the Workforce Investment Act 167 (WIA 167) program.
  • You are eligible to participate in the Title C Migrant Education program within the last 24 months.
  • You are at least 16 years old.
  • You have not obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent.
