SafeWalk & Walkthroughs

Safe-Walks:
At CSU Pueblo, the safety of the campus community is a top priority. To enhance the feeling of security, any member of the CSU Pueblo community, whether student, staff, or faculty, can request an escort from a campus security officer, including deputies or campus service officers, to accompany them to their destination. This service, known as Safe-Walks, is available to anyone who feels uncomfortable walking alone, whether it's to a specific building on campus or to a vehicle parked nearby. It provides peace of mind, knowing that a security officer is available to escort individuals to their location, no matter the time of day or night. To request a Safe-Walk, simply call the CSU Pueblo security office at 719.549.2373. This service is available 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring that assistance is always readily available whenever it's needed.

Walkthroughs:
CSU Pueblo Security is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the entire campus community. As part of this commitment, CSU Pueblo Security conducts regular high-visibility security walkthroughs across the campus grounds and within residence halls. These walkthroughs are typically performed both during the day and in the evening, with additional nightly patrols aimed at deterring any potential security threats. The presence of security officers during these walkthroughs promotes a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by maintaining a visible and proactive security presence. This effort also allows officers to identify and address any areas that may need additional attention, such as lighting issues, maintenance concerns, or potential security vulnerabilities.
