Grants

Grants do not have to be repaid unless eligibility requirements are not met. These awards are generally aimed at undergraduate students and are based on financial need. To receive grant funding, you must complete the FAFSA and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). All information below is subject to federal, state, and institutional policy or budget updates.

This table lists all grants available to CSU Pueblo students, including the award name, typical amount, and eligibility requirements. Each row represents a different federal, state, or institutional grant program for the 2025–2026 academic year.

2025–2026 Academic Year Grant Opportunities
Award Name Typical Award Eligibility Requirements & Other Information
Federal Pell Grant Up to $7,395 For undergraduates pursuing their first bachelor's degree. Award amount depends on enrollment status and financial need. Students must not have exceeded 600% of their lifetime Pell eligibility.
Summer: Maximum award typically $3,698. Visit studentaid.gov for details.
Colorado Student Grant (CSG) $500 – $5,500 For Colorado residents pursuing their first bachelor's degree. Must enroll in at least 6 credit hours (prorated if fewer than 12). Financial need determined by CCHE and funding availability from the Colorado General Assembly. Visit CCHE Financial Aid for more information.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) $200 – $4,000 For undergraduates with exceptional financial need who also receive a Pell Grant. Priority is given to students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Funding is limited, so early FAFSA submission is encouraged.
TEACH Grant Up to $4,000 For students in eligible teaching programs who commit to teaching in a high-need field at a low-income school for 4 years after graduation. Failure to complete the service requirement converts the grant into a loan. Visit studentaid.gov/teach.
Colorado Graduate Grant $500 – $1,500 For Colorado residents enrolled in graduate programs who demonstrate financial need. Awards and funding levels vary each academic year depending on state allocations.

Note: Individuals who willfully misrepresent information on applications for Colorado student aid funds are subject to penalty under Colorado law.
