Bio

Nicole Cherecwich is a soprano and Lecturer in Voice at Colorado State University–Pueblo, where she maintains a full studio spanning performance, education, and general music majors. At CSU Pueblo, she also teaches Vocal Techniques and Diction, and leads weekly studio classes focused on vocal pedagogy, stylistic versatility, and healthy performance practices.
An active performer throughout Colorado, Cherecwich works in both operatic and musical theatre repertoire and has appeared with companies including Central City Opera, Vintage Theatre, Fine Arts Center, Opera Fort Collins, Miners Alley Playhouse, Parker Arts, and Performance Now Theatre Company. Recent roles include Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Young Heidi in Follies, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, and Luisa in The Fantasticks. She has also served as a Touring Artist with Central City Opera.
Cherecwich holds an M.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of Delaware and a B.A. in Music from American University. She serves on the board of Opera Theatre of the Rockies and has previously worked with the Colorado Springs Conservatory as a mentor and private voice teacher. In addition to her stage work, she is experienced in collaborative piano and music direction, and is passionate about training singers across classical, musical theatre, and contemporary styles.
