Bio
Dr. Jay Dougherty is Music Department Chair at Colorado State University Pueblo, where, in addition to leading the department, he directs the Chamber Choir and teaches Conducting and Secondary Choral Methods. An internationally sought-after clinician, conductor, and adjudicator, Jay has led ensembles and honor choirs across the U.S. and abroad, with invitations in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain. He is a prolific composer and arranger with more than 100 works in print, as well as a frequent presenter at conferences around the world, having given more than 100 conference presentations. He is also a certified Musicality Judge for the Barbershop Harmony Society. Jay resides in Pueblo, Colorado, with his family, and is the proud father of five daughters.
