Bio
Dr. Janell Campbell is a Visiting Associate Professor of Psychology at Colorado State University–Pueblo. She brings a strong background in psychological theory and applied research, with a focus on student success and well-being in higher education. Her research interests include anxiety among university students, mentoring and coaching, academic motivation, student engagement, and retention—particularly among underrepresented populations.
Dr. Campbell's scholarly work also explores graduation rates, and the impact of concurrent enrollment programs on student outcomes. She has a deep passion for sharing her knowledge of psychology with students and is especially dedicated to helping them apply psychological concepts to their everyday lives. A passionate advocate for inclusive education and student empowerment, she is committed to fostering environments that support student achievement and holistic development.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Austin Peay State University, a Master of Science degree in Human Development from Murray State University, and a Doctor of Psychology degree from the University of the Rockies.
Outside of academia, Dr. Campbell is a lifelong animal lover who enjoys spending time with her dog, cats and horse. She dreams of having a family compound with lots of animals someday. Living near the mountains fuels her love of nature and photography. She is also an avid reader and values quality time with her family, finding balance and inspiration through these personal passions.
