About Me

I’m a California transplant attempting to blend in with the Colorado natives.  You will either find me talking with parents and students about the great Colorado adventures that CSU – Pueblo will provide or wetting a line on the river.  I believe in being yourself and achieving your best through hard work, intelligent dialogue, and open discussion to what the future may hold.  I enjoy reviewing the past to progress forward.  My favorite word is “chispa” which directly translates to spark; because I hope to be a spark to the start of your college and professional career.  Come run with the pack!

Why CSU-Pueblo

CSU – Pueblo is the perfect blend of people, culture, and size which allows our students to be themselves while expanding their horizons.  Pueblo, Colorado is a place that I believe is transitioning and can be a breeding ground for innovation and transformation.  We might not have the skyscrapers of the big city but we have the landscapes to inspire great minds which will transform both the individuals and communities that call Pueblo home.

• Papa Jose’s (Best posole in town!)
• Not a restaurant but My Mother’s homemade tortillas are the best

Fun Facts

• I have grand nephews and nieces and I’m not “that” old yet J
• I’m a huge LA Angels fan (Go Mike Trout!)
• I typically fish 100 days a year

• I’m a Starbucks junkie
• I’m a secret dog whisperer, they follow me all the time
• I have self-diagnosed myself with tennis elbow due to fly fishing so much
