Biography
Dr. Rhonda Epper — 17th President of Colorado State University Pueblo
Rhonda M. Epper, Ph.D., is president of Colorado State University Pueblo, a regional comprehensive university serving Southern Colorado and the Southwestern United States. She has spent her career serving all levels of the higher education sector—at the college level (rural and urban), system level, state level, as well as regional and national policy levels.
Prior to joining CSU Pueblo, Dr. Epper served as President of Trinidad State College, based in Southern Colorado with campuses in Trinidad and Alamosa. Earlier in her career, she was Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Community College of Denver. She also served as Chief Academic and Student Affairs Officer at the Colorado Department of Higher Education and held several roles at the Colorado Community College System Office.
Dr. Epper’s experience also includes service at the California State University Office of the Chancellor, the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), and the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO). She is the recipient of the WCET (WICHE) Award for Lifetime Achievement and has been a Fellow with the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research and a Presidential Fellow with the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program.
Dr. Epper has served on numerous boards and advisory groups in higher education and currently serves as a trustee for the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art in Trinidad, Colorado and the Southeast Regional Council of the El Pomar Foundation.
