Active Duty Members Using TA Benefits

First-time users must attend a briefing through their respective Education Services Office to begin using Tuition Assistance benefits and before enrolling at the university.

Application Process:

  1. Go online to csupueblo.edu and click “apply” tab. Complete the appropriate application that applies to you. (Use application waiver code: VEB)
  2. Once admitted into CSU Pueblo, set up a meeting with your advisor for completion of a degree plan.

    Army

    Go to this website and follow directions to apply for Tuition Assistance and upload your degree plan.

    You must enroll in classes and notify the Fort Carson Student Services Coordinator prior to requesting Tuition Assistance through the Army IgnitED portal.

    Tuition Assistance needs to be requested at least 7 working days prior to the class start dates.

    Tuition assistance approved classes will be shown on your Army IgnitED portal under Course Enrollments. (Note: Class tuition is paid by TA at a rate of $250 per credit hour with a fiscal year maximum of $4,000. Associated fees are not covered by TA and will be the responsibility of the service member.)

    How to create a student user account

    Army National Guard

    Go to this website and follow directions to create an Army IgnitED tuition assistance account.

    You must enroll in classes and notify the Fort Carson Student Services Coordinator prior to requesting Tuition Assistance through the Army IgnitED portal.

    Tuition-approved classes will be shown on portal websites. (Note: Class tuitions are paid in full by TA but associated fees will responsibility of service member.)

    Navy

    Get on this website and follow directions to apply for Tuition Assistance and upload your degree plan.

4. Tuition Assistance will require reimbursement for the following reasons:
  • Undergraduate level (D) or lower grades
  • Graduate level (C) or lower grades
  • Non-passing grades
  • Incomplete (I) grades in effect longer than six months
  • Voluntary withdrawal (W) grades without a waiver.

**Tuition Assistance can cover up to $250 each semester credit hour that you attend college, with a $4,000 limit per fiscal year. Keep in mind that if you are planning on attending a college whose fees will be much more than $250 per credit hour, your Tuition Assistance may not cover the entirety of your fees.
