Saturday, July 4, 2026 • CSU Pueblo • Festivities begin at 4 p.m.

Get ready for an unforgettable Fourth of July celebration at Let Freedom Howl! at CSU Pueblo. Join the Pack for an evening of music, food and family fun, culminating in a spectacular patriotic finale featuring a coordinated fireworks and drone show set to live symphony music.

Event Schedule

Enjoy an evening filled with entertainment, activities and a one-of-a-kind Independence Day finale.

  1. 4 p.m.

    Festivities Begin

    Live music from The Mockingjays, family activities, food trucks, bounce houses, a face painter and an alumni gathering space.

  2. 7 p.m.

    Pueblo Symphony and Still Surfin’

    The Pueblo Symphony takes the stage with Still Surfin’, a Beach Boys tribute band, for a high-energy sunset performance.

  3. 9:15 p.m.

    Patriotic Finale

    Experience a coordinated fireworks and drone show set to live symphony music.

There is something for everyone to enjoy while celebrating together at CSU Pueblo.

Live Entertainment The Mockingjays, Pueblo Symphony and Still Surfin’.
Food and Treats Food trucks serving BBQ, burgers, sweet treats, shaved ice and more.

Parking

Parking will be available in the East CSU Pueblo parking lots.

  • Park in a designated parking spot.
  • Do not block roadways or emergency access.
  • Pedicabs will be available to taxi guests from parking lot locations to the event on campus for a fee.
Prohibited Items

For the safety and comfort of all guests, please review the following prohibited items and campus policies.

  • Alcohol in private containers is not allowed. Alcohol may be purchased from vendors at the event.
  • Fireworks are strictly prohibited except as part of scheduled official events.
  • Pets are not permitted. For the safety of animals and community members, please leave animals at home.
  • No firearms or weapons are allowed.
  • CSU Pueblo is a tobacco-free campus. Smoking and vaping are not permitted.
  • No unattended minors.
  • No personal grills or burners are allowed.
Can we bring our own shade structure or tent?

No personal canopies, tents or campers are allowed.

Can we bring our own food and non-alcoholic beverages?

Absolutely. Guests may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Food vendors will also be on-site if you would like to purchase food or drinks.

What if there is inclement weather?

Event staff will meet at 4 p.m. to review potential weather impacts to the show.

In case of dangerous weather, such as lightning or strong winds, guests will be asked to return to their vehicles until it is safe.
