Guest & Family Information – Class of 2026

Join us in honoring the Class of 2026!

Commencement Ceremony Duration & Etiquette

Each ceremony is expected to last approximately two and a half hours. Graduates will not be able to exit the ceremony early and must remain seated for the duration of the program. Out of respect for all graduates in attendance, we kindly ask that guests remain seated until the conclusion of the ceremony.

Arrival & Parking Information

Plan ahead for a smooth arrival at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl! Gates open early, and all guests are encouraged to arrive with plenty of time for parking and stadium entry.

🚗 Parking Lots

Free parking is available in all lots surrounding the stadium. ADA-accessible parking is located on the west side of the ThunderBowl. Please follow directional signage and staff assistance upon arrival.

⏰ Arrival Time

Gates open at 6:30 AM. The ceremony begins promptly at 8:30 AM. We recommend arriving before 7:30 AM to allow time for parking, entry, and finding seats.

🚐 Shuttle Service

Guests with limited mobility may utilize the shuttle services on the west side of campus parking lots.

🔒 Security Screening

All bags are subject to search. Large bags, backpacks, outside food and beverages are not permitted. Small clear bags and water bottles are allowed. The campus is smoke-free and vape-free.

☀️ Weather & Comfort

The ceremony will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather, and bring sunscreen or umbrellas if needed.

Seating & Ceremony Guidelines

Every guest plays an important role in celebrating the success of our graduates. Please review the seating and ceremony details below to ensure everyone enjoys a respectful and memorable experience.

🏢 General Seating

All seating at the ThunderBowl is first come, first served. Stadium gates open at 6:30 AM. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure preferred seats. Saving large sections of seating is discouraged.

♿️ Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available on the west side of the stadium. Each ADA guest may have one companion seat. Wheelchair spaces are limited and cannot be reserved in advance.

👏 Guest Conduct

Out of respect for all graduates, guests are asked to remain seated during the ceremony. Please refrain from standing in aisles, blocking views, or using loud noise-makers during name announcements.

📷 Photography & Video

Professional photographers will capture each graduate crossing the stage. Guests are welcome to take personal photos from their seats only.

 

Access to the stage area, field or graduate section is not permitted.

🍽️ Food & Beverages

Outside food and beverages are not allowed. Water bottles and light snacks are available for purchase at stadium concessions. Please dispose of trash properly to help keep the venue clean for all attendees.

⏱️ Ceremony Duration

The ceremony typically lasts 2 to 2.5 hours. Guests are encouraged to stay through the recessional to honor all graduates and faculty participants.

Accessibility & Guest Support

CSU Pueblo is committed to making Commencement accessible and comfortable for every guest. Please review the information below to plan your visit and request accommodations if needed.

♿️ ADA Services

Accessible seating is available on the west side of the stadium. Each ADA guest may have one companion seat. Wheelchair spaces are limited and cannot be reserved in advance.

🗣️ Interpretation

American Sign Language interpreters will be positioned near the stage for the duration of the ceremony and on the Thundertron. 

Spanish translation may be available for guests on the west concourse. 

⚕️ First Aid & Assistance

Medical staff and a first-aid station will be located near the stadium concourse throughout the event. If you or a guest need assistance, please notify a volunteer or campus police officer immediately.

🔍 Lost & Found

Lost or misplaced items can be reported to the Guest Services inside the ThunderBowl. After Commencement, contact csup_commencement@csupueblo.edu to retrieve items.

👪 Guest Services

Restrooms, and water refill stations are available near the main concourse.

Strollers are permitted but must be checked in at Guest Services tents to stay clear of aisles and walkways during the ceremony.
