Program Overview

The Civil Engineering Technology, BS program prepares students to develop skills to conduct standardized field and laboratory tests related to civil engineering and analyze information using fundamental computational methods and elementary analytical techniques applicable to the civil engineering sub-disciplines.

The Civil Engineering Technology program covers three broad subdisciplines of civil engineering: Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Water-Resource Engineering. The program helps students apply established engineering principles and standards of practice in developing solutions to civil engineering problems.

Our program is job-oriented with less theory and more practice. We believe that every student like you has the potential to be a successful engineer and we will try to make it happen.

The major in civil engineering technology leads to a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology (BSCET) Degree. This program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Civil Engineering Technology and Similarly Named Programs Program Criteria.

Program Admission

"My time in the Civil Engineering Technology program prepared me to be ready for the engineering design world. Their hands-on learning equipped me to problem solve, critically think through complex issues, and communicate information with a team. "
