Canvas Mobile Apps
Canvas offers separate apps for students and instructors. Choose the app that matches your role.
Recommended Apps
- Canvas Student (students)
- Canvas Teacher (instructors)
Download the apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching: “Canvas Student” or “Canvas Teacher.”
How to Sign In
When the app asks for your school, search for Colorado State University Pueblo. Then sign in with your CSU Pueblo credentials.
Step 1: Open the Canvas app and tap Find my school.
Step 2: Search for Colorado State University Pueblo.
Step 3: Sign in using your CSU Pueblo NetID and password.
If you have trouble signing in, try logging into Canvas on a computer first, then return to the mobile app.
Mobile Notifications
You can receive alerts for announcements, due dates, grades, and inbox messages. Notification settings are controlled in two places: Canvas and your device settings.
- In Canvas: set your notification frequency (immediate, daily, weekly, or off).
- On your phone/tablet: allow notifications for the Canvas app.

Troubleshooting
If the Canvas app isn’t working as expected, try these quick fixes:
- Update the Canvas app to the latest version.
- Restart your device.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data.
- Log out of the app and log back in.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app.
