Applicants to the Biology Master of Science program should have a bachelor's degree in Biology or a similar field and are encouraged to have an overall undergraduate GPA of approximately 3.0 or higher.

Admission also considers the complete application file, including academic preparation, recommendations, faculty mentorship, and the applicant's goals for graduate study.

Admission Expectations

Bachelor's Degree Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in Biology or a similar field.
Suggested GPA A 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA is suggested for applicants to the program.
Graduate Preparation Applicants should demonstrate preparation and goals appropriate for advanced graduate study in Biology.

Your Biology MS application file should include the following materials.

1 Biology MS Application Complete the Biology MS online application.
2 Official College Transcripts Submit official transcripts documenting your previous college and university coursework.
3 Two Letters of Recommendation Submit two letters of recommendation supporting your qualifications for graduate study.
4 Faculty Mentor Support Include a letter of support from a CSU Pueblo faculty mentor.
5 Letter of Intent Submit a letter explaining your goals and interest in pursuing the Biology MS degree.
6 GRE Scores — Optional GRE scores are optional and may be submitted to supplement your application.

GRE Scores Are Optional

The current Biology MS admission requirements do not require GRE scores. Applicants may choose to submit scores if they believe the results will strengthen or supplement their application.
