Using the Archives

The Archives welcomes students, staff, faculty, and the community to conduct research in its rich collection of primary sources. Since University Archives items do not circulate, researchers must make an appointment between the hours of 8-5 to use materials in the Archives reading room. The University Archives and Special Collections is located on the sixth floor of the LARC, please email archives@csupueblo.edu for an appointment.

The Archives also encourages classroom visits to explore the uses of primary sources for undergraduate and graduate students. Professors may schedule an appointment with the Archivist to determine the content and learning outcomes desired for their classes. Please fill out the form below to request a class visit.

Access and Use Policy

The access and use policy for the University Archives and Special Collections (UASC) is designed not only to encourage access to the materials in the collections but to ensure that the materials are both protected and preserved for future use.

The CSU Pueblo University Archives seeks to make its collections available in support of research and scholarship by members of the CSU Pueblo community and others. However, CSU-P Archives users must respect copyrights and other legal rights held by other parties that may affect the use of materials in the collections. Therefore, the CSU-P Archives provides services on the following terms for purposes of supporting teaching, research, and other scholarship. The statement below applies only if the use of materials is principally for research and scholarship. Uses that are principally for commercial purposes may be subject to separate agreement between the user and CSU Pueblo Archives.
