On August 9th, CSU Pueblo presented our Vision 2028 plan to our Colorado State University System Board of Governors in Aurora, Colorado. The plan, available here, included details for ten "Phase 1" initiatives, a 5-year implementation plan, and comprehensive project management and reporting infrastructure. At the end of a 2-hour presentation and Q&A, The Board of Governors voted unanimously to support our Vision 2028 and to immediately fund the launch with $7.8 million in funding. This represents the single largest investment our Board has ever made. We are humbled by their support and eager to get to work.
Today, we have our system behind us, crucial FTEs on the way, and the money necessary to begin the real transformation. Your commitment to CSU Pueblo made the work possible and brought the Vision to life. Thank you.
As we move forward over the next few months, I encourage you to get involved, ask questions, and work with your colleagues, your students, and this community in order to make CSU Pueblo the people's university.
