Welcome to SCA! The Department of Sociology, Criminology, and Anthropology has a primary mission of preparing students to develop critical and analytical skills necessary to succeed in their field of study. Students are consistently motivated and equipped to make meaningful contributions for the enhancement of the human condition.

We offer competitive undergraduate programs designed to increase students' knowledge of social organizations and social relationships. We take pride in providing a strong foundation of liberal arts for our undergraduate programs and offer hands-on experience.

Each program in the department supports our disciplines' long-standing interest in examining the human condition, understanding stability, and change in social life.

The department prepares students to work in various occupations and careers such as education, research, government, business, human services, community organizing, program development, policy analysis, youth services, criminal justice, crime and violence prevention, and victim services.

We offer several entry pathways and learning formats. You can complete courses entirely online or in a hybrid format with on-campus instruction.
