Former Pack Football Player - Superbowl Champion
Former CSU-Pueblo football player Mike Pennel became the school's first Super Bowl Champion when the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV, 31-20 against the San Francisco 49ers. A defensive tackle, Mike joined the Chiefs in October and finished the season with 24 tackles and a sack. In the Super Bowl, Mike recorded a tackle and a quarterback hit that aided an interception by the Chiefs. Mike played for the ThunderWolves in 2013 and was an all-conference performer. He made the 53-man roster of the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent and has played 77 games in six seasons in the NFL.
