Please join the Art Department at a reception for "Interior Artifice", a group exhibit exploring our elusive understanding of "self" in the current era. The edifices we manufacture are an attempt to define ourselves, and when they are replicated in our environment they further mystify the true nature of our being. Four regional/local artists-Bob Benvenudo, Cory Moosman, Laura Phelps Rogers and Daniel Levinson-will be displaying painting, sculpture, photography and installation that provokes viewers to revaluate the relationship between the way human consciousness inhabits its own internal and external fictions/fabrications. An informal gallery talk with the artists will be followed by refreshments and gallery viewing with community members, students, faculty and staff. Free and open to the public, all are welcome.
