April 28, 2017 - April 30, 2017
CSU-Pueblo Campus
Please join us for the CSU-Pueblo Institute of Cannabis Research Conference 2017, April 28-30, where “Cannabis Experts Take Center Stage: From the Margins to the Mainstream.”
We are tremendously pleased to be hosting the first international, multidisciplinary cannabis research conference at a regional, comprehensive university in the USA. The ICR Conference will celebrate a myriad of research and intellectual pursuits from internationally renowned speakers and pioneering cannabis scholars.
Over 70 individual, panel, and poster sessions are planned from over 100 presenters representing state, national, and international cannabis scholars, clinicians, and industry representatives. Cannabis researchers from major universities in Colorado, California, New Mexico, Washington State, and New York will be presenting, as well as scientists from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Drug Research Institute.
We are honored that Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, the “father of cannabis research”, will deliver the keynote address on Saturday, April 29, from 12:30-1:30pm. Also, presenting will be Dr. Carl Hart from Columbia University, who will deliver the plenary address to open the conference on Friday, April 28, from 5-6:30pm. The Sunday closing plenary address will be delivered from 10-10:45am by Dr. Alexandros Makriyannis of Northeastern University.
A detailed preliminary conference program will be posted soon on the ICR Conference website. We encourage those attending to register as soon as possible for the conference to ensure participation.
