Mission

Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to developing champions through academic excellence, athletic achievement and community engagement with the ultimate goal of building productive citizens.

Vision

Intercollegiate Athletics aspires to be an athletics powerhouse and the standard for holistic student-athlete development and academic opportunity.

Five Core Areas

  1. Academic Excellence and Student-Athlete Enrichment
    • Goal: We will ensure that our student-athletes have the opportunity to demonstrate quality academic performances that meet or exceed NCAA requirements and institutional learning outcomes while working towards their own professional development goals.
  2. Competitive Success
    • Goal: We will provide sound athletic team structures that foster strong and competitive programs that are positive and demonstrate quality outcomes in competition.
  3. Program Integrity
    • Goal: We will strive to develop a high impact instructional unit that is at the forefront of the profession while demonstrating sound fiscal operations, rules compliance, inclusion and services that bolster our State, city and institution.
  4. External Outreach
    • Goal: We will enhance external outreach in innovative ways in order to bolster external resources while building meaningful relationships with alumni, community members and campus constituents.

    • Goal: We will establish a positive, service-oriented culture that provides our campus and community with a meaningful and impactful experience.
