Project MERIT

What is Project MERIT?

Project MERIT is funded by the US Department of Education to strengthen the language and achievement of English Learners in integrated, inclusive k-12 settings in Southern Colorado.

Project MERIT provides financial support for completing 24 graduate hours in education, leading to an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education.

In collaboration with the CLASSIC Project © from the CIMA Center at KSU, the program provides support for 100 teachers to become Culturally and Linguistically Endorsed teachers (K-12 CLDE Endorsement).

The program is built around a community of learners framework with opportunities to collaborate within and across classroom and districts.
