Sand Volleyball

League Information:

Beach/Sand volleyball is quite similar to volleyball with the most glaring difference being that the game is played on sand and not a hard court surface. Play is quite similar to regular volleyball with each team getting three hits to place the ball over the net and onto their opponent’s side.

  • Registration generally early August and closes shortly after the start of the semester.
  • The season goes from September 1st through October 6th on weekday nights.
  • League play is typically 4 weeks in length, followed by a double/single elimination tournament. All teams who have an average sportsmanship rating of 2.5, and did not have more than one forfeit, will be seeded into the bracket.
  • Roster additions may be made up until playoffs begin.
