Saqib Gulzar, Ph.D.

Bio
Dr. Saqib Gulzar joined CSU Pueblo as the SCITT Assistant Professor and will serve as the research director of the Institute. Dr. Gulzar completed his PhD at NC State University and Master’s at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in the field of Transportation Engineering. His research interests include transportation infrastructure, resilience modeling, climate change and extreme event impacts, material mechanics, and sustainability. Dr. Gulzar is the recipient of several best paper and society awards including APSE’s Outstanding Student Member Award and Best Paper Award runner-up from AKM 20 committee of Transportation Research Board. Dr. Gulzar has also served as the President of Civil Engineering Graduate Student Association (CEGSA) at NC State University and has been active in several local, national, and international transportation bodies.
