Research Interests

Research in the Kinney lab focuses on the presence, fate, and effects of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in the environment. This includes terrestrial and aquatic environments as well as biological systems. This area of research routinely requires the development and validation for the extraction and analysis method for PPCPs in a variety of environmental matrices and biologic samples. In addition, we have recently started research on novel extraction methods of phytochemicals.
