IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Pueblo Domestic Violence Community Task Force and YWCA Pueblo will present their annual Historical Ghost Walk through the Historic Union Avenue and Riverwalk Districts on September 29, 30, October 6 and 7. Walking tours leave every 15 minutes from 5:30 to 8:30 pm starting at El Pueblo History Museum. This event is a storytelling of Pueblo's past. In case of inclement weather, the event will move indoors.

A special "Sneak Peek" dress rehearsals will be open to the public on September 28th at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm at El Pueblo History Museum. This will be a seated (non-walking) performance of the Ghost Walk. Cost is $5 per person.

New stories for this year's Ghost Walk include The Pig-Man of City Park, Baseball Legend Eddie Hancock, World War I Hero Earl Chostner, Skirts and Stethoscopes, and more. We will also be bringing back local favorites Clark Gable and The Army Depot, Mail Order Bride, and Bridey Murphy!

The Ghost Walk is a fundraising event for the Pueblo Domestic Violence Community Task Force and YWCA Pueblo. Funds raised for the Domestic Violence Task Force will go to help provide training for those who work with victims and for anti-violence education, training and advertising in the community. Funds raised for YWCA Pueblo will be used to provide shelter, supervised visitation and exchange and services for women and children experiencing domestic violence.

The cost for tickets is $10.00 for the Ghost Walk and $5.00 for the "Sneak Peek" dress rehearsal. Children ages five and younger are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Advance tickets for both events may be purchased starting September 1, 2017 at YWCA Pueblo, 801 N. Santa Fe Ave., at El Pueblo History Museum, 301 N. Union Avenue and Pueblo Heritage Museum, 201 W. B Street. Please, cash or check only.
