Transfer Scholarship

Earn a $1,200 scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year.

CSU Pueblo offers lots of support for transfer students. This year, we are also offering a limited-time $1,200 scholarship to new transfers that enroll by July 1, 2021.

All transfer students are connected with a transfer advisor to help make the transition to CSU Pueblo a seamless one.

$1,200 Scholarship Eligibility

  • GPA: 3.5 or higher (cumulative)
  • Proof of previous enrollment at a 2-year or 4-year institution (not including CSU Pueblo) after high school graduation
  • Major: Accounting, Art, Automotive Industry Management, Chemistry, Engineering, English, History, Media Communication, Physics, Political Science, or World Languages
  • Deadline: Enroll by July 1, 2021

    What support services are available for transfer students?

    All applicants are connected with an admissions counselor and transfer advisor that can answer questions about financial aid, articulation agreements, transfer guides, and can support you in figuring out how to transfer previous credits into a new degree at CSU Pueblo.

    Once enrolled, students are also paired with a faculty mentor and an academic success coach. This success team supports students all the way until graduation.

    Can I accept additional scholarships and financial aid?

    This limited transfer scholarship opportunity is stackable, meaning that you can apply for other scholarship opportunities available for transfer students. These are ones such as:

    Destination Scholarship

    The Destination Scholarship is available to transfer undergraduate students pursuing their first Bachelor's degree and have completed an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), or an Associate of General Studies (AGS) degree with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA prior to attending CSU Pueblo. The Destination Scholarship is $2000 per academic year ($1000 per semester) up to a maximum of 4 semesters. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and full-time enrollment while continuing their degree at CSU Pueblo. Students are also encouraged to complete the CSU Pueblo Foundation Scholarship Application for the potential of additional scholarship awards.*To be considered for this scholarship a student must have no prior attendance at CSU Pueblo.

    Southern Colorado Partnership Scholarship

    The Southern Colorado Partnership Scholarship is available to transfer students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree and have completed an associate’s degree at one of our area community colleges with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA prior to attending CSU Pueblo. The Southern Colorado Partnership Scholarship is $750 per academic year ($375 per semester) up to a maximum of 4 semesters. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and full-time enrollment while continuing their degree at CSU Pueblo. *To be considered for this scholarship a student must have no prior attendance at CSU-Pueblo.

    This scholarship is currently only available for new, incoming transfer students each semester. Awards are dependent upon funding for each academic year. CSU Pueblo’s area community colleges:

    • Lamar Community College
    • Otero Junior College
    • Pueblo Community College
    • Pikes Peak Community College
    • Trinidad State Junior College

    Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

    The PTK Scholarship is available to transfer undergraduate students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. There are no associate’s degree requirements to receive this scholarship. However, official confirmation of PTK membership is required. The PTK Scholarship is $1,250 per academic year ($625 per semester) up to a maximum of 4 semesters. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and full-time enrollment while continuing their degree at CSU Pueblo. This scholarship is currently only available for new, incoming transfer students each semester. Awards are dependent upon funding for each academic year. *To be considered for this scholarship a student must have no prior attendance at CSU Pueblo.

    *The Destination, Southern Colorado Partnership and Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship can all apply and be combined for the same academic year.

    $1,000 Commitment to Colorado

    Requirements: Colorado residents who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by May 1st each year, receive a Pell Grant, and have at least a 3.0 GPA. 

    $1,000 First Generation Scholarship

    Requirements: First generation college students (neither parent has earned a bachelor's degree), 3.0 high school or transfer GPA, FAFSA must be received by May 1st, full-time (at least 12 credits); 3.0 required to renew. There is a four year limit on receiving this award. The First Generation Scholarship is awarded to eligible first time undergraduate students and may be combined with any other CSU Pueblo Scholarship. 

    $2000 Living Learning

    Non resident students, WUE students, ThunderWolf Rate, and New Mexico Reciprocal students are also eligible to receive a $2,000 per year Living Learning Incentive scholarship as long as they live on campus in one of the residence halls or University Village at Walking Stick and maintain full-time (at least 12 credits) enrollment. There is a four year limit on receiving this award.

    CSU Pueblo Foundation Scholarships

    There are several scholarships available through the Foundation with varying requirements and awards.
