CoRec Volleyball

League Information:

Volleyball is team sport in which two teams of 6 players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team’s court. Each team receives three contacts to prevent an opponent’s attack from being grounded while simultaneously setting up its own attack. The ball is usually played with the hands or arms; which includes blocking, digging, passing, setting, and spiking the ball in offensive and defensive plays.

  • Registration generally opens the last week of September, and will close shortly before the beginning of November.
  • League play is typically 4 weeks in length, followed by a double/single elimination tournament. All teams who have an average sportsmanship rating of 2.5, and did not have more than one forfeit, will be seeded into the bracket.
