Jennifer DeLuna, Director of Diversity & Inclusion
Jennifer DeLuna is currently the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for Colorado State University-Pueblo.. Prior to joining the ThunderWolf Family she served as the Transfer Center for Daley City College in Chicago, IL. As the Director of the Transfer Center at Daley she enabled students to pursue their educational dreams at four year institution’s that fit their goals. Jennifer also helped create a student’s academic plan along with their academic advisor. Jennifer also previously served as the Program Manager for the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relations at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and one of the Assistant Director’s for La Casa Cultural Latina. Jennifer was a proud member of the Illini family from 2007-2012. She is a 2004 Loyola University Chicago graduate where she received her B.A. in Communications with a triple minor in Spanish, Women's Studies, and Literature. While at Loyola she had the honor of becoming a member of Alpha Psi Lambda, Fraternity, Inc. She is also a 2007 Graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a M.A. in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management. Most recently Jennifer Completed a M.ED in Educational Policy Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois but started her educational pathway at McHenry County College. Prior to joining higher education Jennifer worked for Radio Disney AM1300 as a Promotions Associate and was a Graduate Assistant to the Office of the President at Columbia College Chicago. She is an active member of NASPA and a NUFP Fellows mentor. Jennifer sailed around the world on the 99th Voyage of Semester at Sea and on the May 2012 Short Term Voyage. Jennifer brings years of experience in programming cultural, educational, and social events. Her professional interests include Latina/o youth outreach, Latina/o in the Arts and Latina/o immigration issues. Jennifer grew up in a northwest suburb of Chicago and is of Mexican and Italian decent. She is excited to be leading the pack in regards to diversity initiatives on the CSU-Pueblo campus.

Jasmin French, Programming Staff Lead
Jasmin, age 21, a senior at CSU-Pueblo, is majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Integrated Communications along with a minor in Psychology. She is the program lead in the office of Diversity and Inclusion, took on the role as President of The Black Student Organization, the Election Commission Chair, and was also a member of the B.A.B.E.S organization. Jasmin was born and raised in Colorado Springs where she graduated from Coronado High School. She has done community service work on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California along with being a part of youth ministries in both Colorado and California. Jasmin enjoys talking, singing, hanging out with friends and reading a good book every so often. Jasmin plans on pursing graduate school in Alabama to experience more culture and become a Public Relations Representative for major companies.
Jordan Marsh-Hardiman, Programming Staff Lead
Jordan, age 20, a junior in the fall at the CSU-Pueblo, is majoring in nursing with a minor in Spanish. Jordan was born and raised in Denver where she graduated from Regis Jesuit High School, a private Catholic school. She has worked with the election’s commission at the university and has also volunteered at nursing homes and schools throughout Denver to help spread her loving touch and nature as a future nurse. When Jordan graduates, she plans on being a bilingual emergency room nurse.
Office/Marketing Student Staff
Fredlina Atencio, age 37, will be a sophomore this fall at CSU-Pueblo is majoring in Business Management with emphasis in Marketing. Fredlina is a native of Colorado, born and raised in central Denver. She moved her family to Pueblo, CO in 2000 to have a better opportunity in life. She is proud to say that she is a mother of three beautiful children and share’s her life with the most wonderful man. She has also completed a number of certifications. She is currently a member of the Latino Chamber of Commerce and student leader at CSU-Pueblo. She was recently the treasurer and now the vice president of the Marketing Club at CSU-Pueblo. Fredlina’s dream today is to get an MBA, Masters in Business Management degree to be able to do everything for her children with no worries; that way, if her children see how hard she worked for her education, they will value theirs as well. "The sky's the limit."
Brenda Figueroa, Office Staff
Brenda, age 20, will be a junior this fall at CSU-Pueblo. She is a double major in Social Work and Spanish with a minor in Chicano Studies. She is a member of Movimiento Estudiantil Chican@ de Aztlan (M.E.Ch.A.). Brenda was born in Texas but raised the majority of her life in Mexico, then came to Pueblo, CO and graduated from East High School. She has always been involved with the Hispanic community assisting them in whatever she can. She has also helped several Hispanic high school students apply to universities and scholarships. Brenda plans to move to Texas and keep on working with the Hispanic community and helping students pursue an education.
Sarah Nako, Office/Marketing Staff Lead
Sarah will be a senior this fall at CSU-Pueblo. She is majoring in art with an emphasis in graphic design and minoring in marketing. Her work has been used by a number of organizations around Southern Colorado including CSU-Pueblo, SoCOCRAG, and All Pueblo Reads. She spent this summer interning at DNA, an ad agency in Seattle. Sarah is originally from Hilo, Hawaii and is planning to stay in the mainland after she graduates to either work or pursue an MFA. This is the third year Sarah has worked at Office of Diversity and Inclusion and is looking forward to another awesome year of events, speakers and fun!
