Collections, Policies, and Loans

    K-12 Textbook Collection

This collection represents some of the most recently published elementary and secondary textbooks (student and teacher editions) in a wide variety of subject areas.

    Professional Collection

Books in the professional collection are selected for their usefulness to professors, student teachers, and education students. The emphasis is on practical materials representing teaching methods and activities. It includes information on assessment, subject area methods, and related activities.

    Multi-media Collection

The Curriculum Center has a variety of manipulatives and materials designed to teach specific skills and/or concepts. This area contains materials such as math and science manipulatives, activity cards, videos, games, maps, science kits, and so much more.

    Technology Collection

The center offers video cameras, digital cameras, and iPads for the ease of lesson planning for the students and faculty.

  • When working in the center, please work quietly as others may be using the space for study. Study groups are always welcome.
  • Please take personal phone calls into the hallway.
  • Please be aware of all materials' due dates. Return checked out materials to the green crate on the file cabinet next to the desk.
  • Personal belongings should not be left unattended at any time.

Student Loans:

Materials circulate to all students, undergraduate and graduate, and may be renewed once, with the exception of technology. Curriculum materials must be checked out at the Curriculum Center desk and should be returned to the 'return' baskets.

SERVICE CHARGES for video equipment and technology accumulate at the rate of $5.00 per day. Eventually, if an item is not returned, the patron is charged for replacement of the item. The charges must be paid to the Curriculum Center. Patrons wishing to pay with a check must write it to CSU-Pueblo.

All standard materials circulate for 2 weeks. Technology equipment such as digital and video cameras only circulate for 48 hours due to high volume use during peak times.

Financial holds will be placed on student accounts with materials that are outstanding for greater than 8 weeks.

Southern Colorado Educators and Alumni Loans:

Southern Colorado educators and alumni may check out non-technology materials, except for currently adopted textbook series and standardized testing, for a period of two (2) weeks with the ability to renew the item for an additional two (2) weeks.

Southern Colorado Educators will need to present their current teacher identification or a letter from their principal indicating they are a current teacher each year the first time they borrow materials.
